Planning and Zoning

Members

The Planning & Zoning Commission consists of a chairperson and 2 members who are appointed by the Mayor and approved by the City Council.

Current Commission members are as follows:

  • Thomas Wells, Chairman
  • Kent Miller, Member
  • Gary Hollingsworth, Member

Meeting Schedule

The P&Z Commission meets every Monday morning (except holidays) from 8:00a.m. to 9:00a.m. to review permit applications and answer any questions. The public is welcome to attend any meeting.

City Hall staff is available Monday thru Friday from 8:00a.m. to 5:00pm to answer any questions and forward messages to the Planning and Zoning members.

Planning & Zoning Ordinances

Permits are required for new sprinklers, decks, fences, storage buildings, major renovations, etc. Before beginning any type of work, it is best to check with Planning & Zoning to determine if a permit is required. Call 811 before you dig!

Recreational Vehicle Ordinance

The City Council has concluded after receiving public input that it is in the best interest of the citizens of Panorama Village and the preservation of property values within the City that all recreational vehicle as defined in City Ordinance 2003-280, dated April 22, 2003, should be banned within the City unless they are garaged (not a carport) out of the view of the public along the streets and along the golf fairways within the City of Panorama Village.

Exceptions to the Recreational Vehicle Parking Regulations

Any recreational vehicle within the City that was permitted under the terms and provision of Ordinance No. 2003-280 on the effective date of this Ordinance is grandfathered and said recreational vehicle may continue to be parked or stored within the City so long as it complies with the provisions set out in Ordinance
